We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join Britain’s Best Fish & Chips. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is all about supporting and covering your General Manager in overseeing the operational running of the restaurant and takeaway; leading and supporting a team to deliver an extraordinary experience to every customer.

As an Assistant Manager, you are supporting to lead this business and drive performance in this site. You will be responsible for supporting your General Manager in every aspect of your business from maintaining high and consistent standards, to inspiring, motivating, training your team to enable your business to demonstrate excellent growth and achievements.

You’ll have:

A background in customer service and hospitality, ideally at Assistant Manager level or Supervisor
Experience in managing people and motivating a large team
An appetite for problem solving, forward planning and working at pace
Experience managing a business with both food and drink profiles
Experience and knowledge of financials, P&L and stock control
Proven experience driving sales and profitability of a business.
Ability to lead a diverse team of people to deliver amazing experiences
A genuine passion for providing memorable experiences
Be willing to learn, develop and improve own skills, whilst having the ability to progress
and engage others

Be fun-loving, have a great character and enjoy the culture that our industry offers
Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety procedures

This is a full-time role working 5 days over 7, including evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
